Pre-planned Funerals
This provides peace of mind, takes the burden away from loved ones and gives them reassurance that they are following the deceased's wishes. When there are no plans for a funeral ceremony this can cause confusion and disagreement so the pre-planned service allows you to discuss what you want for your own funeral in advance, and know that your preferences have been recorded.
I can help you decide on the type of funeral or memorial you want and together we can plan the content, who you would like to be involved, what music should be played, which poems or text should be included, and whether you would like anyone to contribute a tribute or a reading. Family and friends can be part of these discussions and I will work with everyone involved to document all wishes.
This could be as simple as music and poem choices along with the tone to be set.
Or, I can also record main life events to help loved ones write a Tribute after your death.
Or, together we can write the full ceremony script.
As well as providing all documentation it will also be uploaded and securely stored on the Humanists UK Repository for safe keeping. This means if I'm unavailable to conduct the funeral an alternative Celebrant from the Humanist network can be chosen, and with permission given access to the information to allow them to deliver the funeral ceremony in accordance with the deceased wishes.
Pre-planned funerals can be organised if you're in good health or if you have a terminal diagnosis. Fees apply depending on the detail required but the first consultation phone call is free of charge.
